Hematology is a core diagnostic used in daily practice. However, interpretation paradigms for one species are not always appropriate to apply to another. Technology that assists in obtaining hematology data varies as well and where it excels and falls short may not be apparent in an everyday setting. This course will review how to adjust the interpretation schema for different classes of animals, when to obtain a slide review, how to read between the lines of the CBC results, and when hematology studies may or may not be helpful.
